Release Notes 14.0 (HTML - PDF)
High frame rate acquisition

As of this release of eGrabber, it is possible to store more than one image per buffer. The number of images per buffer, a single one by default, can now be set to any value up to 10,000.

Storing several images per buffer significantly reduces the processing overhead associated to the management of the buffers and enables area-scan applications to reach very high acquisition frame rates in excess of several hundred thousand images per second!

Several sample programs showing how to use this new feature are provided with eGrabber. They also describe how the application can track the acquisition of individual images within a buffer, thus ensuring that the image processing is performed without any latency.
