Dual-stream CoaXPress 1X-2YE area-scan cameras

This release of eGrabber adds to the 1-camera firmware variant of 3603 Coaxlink Quad CXP-12 the support for 2-tap 1X-2YE area-scan cameras delivering image data through two distinct data streams.

This feature allows to comply with the CoaXPress specification and re-construct the original image without loading the host CPU.

Horizontal image flipping

This release of eGrabber adds the horizontal image flipping capability to the 2-camera, line-scan firmware variant of 3602 Coaxlink Octo.

This feature allows the application to flip horizontally the image without any additional delay.

Image format and size controls for Coaxlink and Gigelink

This release of eGrabber adds the capability to set the Width, Height and PixelFormat feature values used by the data stream.

This feature allows the application to override the values defined by GigE Vision or CoaXPress remote devices.

Buffer info control for Coaxlink and Gigelink

This release of eGrabber adds the capability to control the buffer information provided by the remote device in the image header.

For instance, this feature allows the application to overwrite the BUFFER_INFO_PIXELFORMAT value.

Stream reset for Gigelink

This release of eGrabber adds the StreamReset feature to the data stream module.

This feature allows the application to reset the features of the data stream to their default values.

Linux installer

The Linux installer in this release of eGrabber adds shortcuts with icons on Linux distributions that conform to the freedesktop.org specifications.

New Bayer decoding method

This release of eGrabber adds the support for the Method 5 Bayer decoding method.

This software decoder uses a lightweight 2 x 2 kernel algorithm to efficiently convert Bayer images into RGB or BGR color images.

Important notice

NOTE

Kindly note that we will end support for the development of 32-bit applications and the use of 32-bit operating systems with eGrabber and Memento at the end of 2021. Consequently, it will not be possible to build or execute 32-bit applications using eGrabber drivers/packages that will be released as of 1-Jan-2022.

eGrabber is the driver used for operating our Coaxlink frame grabbers.

Of course, developing or running 32-bit applications developed using eGrabber packages that have been released before 31-Dec-2021 will remain possible.

All developers are highly encouraged to migrate to 64-bit operating systems and 64-bit applications.
