eGrabber

Improved eGrabber Reference Documentation

This release of the eGrabber Reference documentation shows a description for much more objects extracted from the headers.

Resilience to invalid camera GenApi XML files

Starting with this release of eGrabber, an XML parsing error results in a substitute XML document exposing the original XML parsing error.

This makes sure a remote device always appears in eGrabber Studio or GenICam Browser even if its XML is invalid.

eGrabber Gigelink

Improved buffer handling

Starting with this release of eGrabber, the captured images are directly written into user buffers from sockets and filter driver.

This feature reduces the Host PC workload and reduces the image capture latency.

eGrabber Recorder

Improved export of Bayer images

This release of eGrabber Recorder adds the capability to select the Bayer decoding method to use while exporting Bayer images.

eGrabber Studio

Redesigned Buffer pane

This simplifies the buffer configuration and provides additional buffer options.

1. Advanced setup button to access a detailed and clearer view on the buffer allocation and simplify the configuration of the buffer queue
2. Start buffer and End buffer fields to save a buffer range
3. Bayer decoding field to select the decoding method for saving buffers that contain Bayer images.

Improved ergonomics in Features pane

This improves the tree display, the feature display, the feature searches and the display of search results.

1. GenApi and XML buttons to display both tree view and XML file
2. Dump Selected button to display all feature values for the various values of a feature selector in a dedicated pane

Selected button to hide/show the pane

3. DisplayName button to show the display name of the GenApi features, when available (instead of the feature name)
4. AccessMode button to hide/show the access modes of the features
5. Search now also possible on a feature category
6. Selected features presented under their selector in the feature tree
7. Feature name or value disabled when you cannot edit the feature.

Persistent user settings

The user settings (source type, source selection, user level, etc.) are now persistent and you can reset the settings to the default values.
