Converter Modes State Diagram
PC3629 Coaxlink CXP-12 to QSFP+ Converter state diagram
The converter has two operation modes, respectively named Maintenance mode and Converter mode.
Maintenance mode
In Maintenance mode, the converter supports the CoF Device discovery. It appears as a regular GenTL Remote Device for the Host application (from any vendor) and provides a GenICam compliant Register Description XML file.
The application has access to all the Converter GenApi features including:

Converter mode
In Converter mode, the converter is transparent: it forwards all the packets from the Host to the CoaXPress camera and vice-versa.
The CoaXPress camera(s) appear(s) as a regular GenTL Remote Device for the Host application (from any vendor) and provides a GenICam compliant file. The application has access to all the CoaXPress camera(s) GenApi features.
NOTE: | In Converter mode, the application has no access to the Converter GenApi features when a third-party frame grabber is used! |
Advanced features with Euresys frame grabber
When the converter is connected to the Euresys PC3625 Coaxlink QSFP+ frame grabber, a subset of the Converter GenApi features is exposed in its GenTL Interface XML file:

Mode transitions
Power ON => Maintenance mode transition
After power ON, the converter is in the Maintenance mode. It will not leave this mode before the application has set DeviceOperatingMode to Converter!
Maintenance mode => Converter mode transition
The converter transitions to the Converter mode when at least one connection of a CoaXPress camera is locked.
Converter mode => Maintenance mode
The converter returns to the maintenance when at least one of the following conditions occurs:
● | Unlocking of all CoaXPress connections |
● | Loss of CoaXPress-over-Fiber |
● | Trip on any PoCXP overcurrent protection (OCP) |
● | Enforce the Maintenance mode* |
